But why should you settle for those middling resolutions when you can see Link running through Hyrule in gaudy 4K glory? Well, besides pissing off Nintendo.
After a new patch, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has stabilized to a more solid frame rate in decent 720p resolution (900p if docked). Hopefully, the Link of the future will be just a little bit more equipped like the Link of the past. The Nintendo Switch and Wii U are cute little devices that offer some great games. But whatever new changes Nintendo decides to bring to the table, it would be wise to give fans some of the classic items that were so missed in Breath of the Wild. It's not clear if the new game will focus more on nostalgia, or if Nintendo will revolutionize things even further. Right now, no one knows what Nintendo plans are for Breath of the Wild 2. However, sequels demand additional content, and what could be more fun than adding a hookshot to allow Link to catapult himself skyward into the parasail? This new mechanic would no doubt open up tons of new combinations of abilities that players could explore and, once again, give Link back one of his most iconic items. The traversal grappling hook and sometimes combat tool is one of Link's coolest gadgets, and it's sorely missing from Breath of the Wild. Nintendo did comment on why the hookshot didn't make the cut, stating that it defeated the idea of Link getting anywhere simply by climbing and parasailing. One of the items fans request the most is the hookshot.

On top of this, using the shield could expand upon the puzzle shrines, requiring certain items to complete certain shrines, and barring entry to those shrines until certain items were acquired. Link could use the light reflecting powers of the shield to blind enemies, allowing for a tactical advance or retreat, and the ability to reflect projectiles could be limited to just the Mirror Shield as well, making it a sought after item. The addition of a new Mirror Shield to Breath of the Wild 2 could open up new ways to solve puzzles or affect gameplay. However, this classic piece of protection equipment and puzzle-solving device was sorely lacking from the open-world. Here are four items that need to return for Breath of the Wild 2.
With the announcement that a Breath of the Wild sequel is in development, now is the perfect time to inject the series with a little bit more classic Zelda. However, despite all of the game's the incredible additions, plenty of classic items from previous Zelda games cannot be found in Breath of the Wild. Some of these are things Link has been able to acquire in pretty much every other game. Nintendo created an open-world sandbox playground, where players' willingness to experiment was more often than not rewarded with amazing results, making Breath of the Wild not just an incredible departure for the series as a whole, but one that was so much fun to play. Breath of the Wild is a game that took the iconic Legend of Zeldaseries and flipped it on its head, making sweeping changes to the world, lore and gameplay that players and critics alike fell in love with. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild remains one of Nintendo's best releases on the Switch.
